On Saturday, 22 July 2023, the 16th WIKA relay marathon took place in Klingenberg am Main. Each team consists of 7 people, of which at least 2 are women. To reach the marathon distance, each runner has to complete a circuit of 6 km. This year, a total of 107 teams from the Bavarian Untermain region were registered. For every kilometre completed, WIKA donates one euro to a charitable institution in our region.
Our team, the "HESS TIMBER From Wood to Wonders runners", participated with great success. The runners Mareike Schönig, Leni Berlinger, Steffen Radke, Viktor Hain, Anna Lena Assel, Helori Geglo and Rensteph Thompson achieved an excellent 19th place with a total time of 3:32:41.7!

We are already looking forward to next year and hope to be able to start with two running groups.
