Winners of the „Australian Institute of Architects Awards 2023“

We are pleased to announce that two of our projects have won at the Australian Institute of Architects Awards 2023.

The Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre wins in the South Australia region

• the Award for Public Architecture and
• the Commendation for Sustainable Architecture.

"Boola Katitjin", the new academic building on the campus of Murdoch University, can secure three awards in the region of Western Australia:

• the most prestigious "George Temple Poole Award"
• the Architecture Award for Educational Architecture and
• the “Wallace Greenham Award for Sustainable Architecture.

Both projects have a special status in Australia. The glulam components in the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre are, with a length of 42m, currently the longest single glulam beams ever used in Australia and the Boola Katitjin is at present the largest mass engineered timber construction project in Western Australia.
