We are pleased to announce that two of our projects have won at the Structural Timber Awards 2023.
The contractor D&S Baucon wins the category "Installer of the Year" with the project Terminal 5 Cruise Line Southampton Port. The official name of the project is Horizon Cruise Terminal. It is characterised by a particularly imposing roof construction. The girders are up to 37m long and partly curved. A total of 1,800 m³ of glulam has been used.
The design and consultancy firm Arup won two prizes with the "Sky Pavilion". Firstly, in the category "Engineer of the Year" and secondly in the category "Retail & Leisure Project of the Year". The Sky Pavilion offers employees on the Osterley campus an interesting place to enjoy a meal. In this project, 84 m³ of cross laminated timber and 31 m³ of glulam were processed.
