17th WIKA relay marathon

The 17th WIKA relay marathon took place in Klingenberg am Main on Saturday, 20 July 2024.

It is a classic relay competition in which 7 runners share the marathon distance of 42 km on a 6 km circuit. This year, a total of 103 teams from the Bavarian Lower Main region were registered. For every kilometre run, WIKA donates one euro to a charitable organisation in our region.

This year, we were even able to field two teams from the Kleinheubach site.
The team "From Wood to Wonders runners 1" achieved an outstanding 3rd place. The runners Merlin Müller, Anna Lena Assel, Daniel Quirtner, Steffen Radke, Verena Hübler, Stefan Nitzsche and Rensteph Thompson impressed with a total time of 3:13:20.9.

Our second team can also be satisfied with their performance. With a total time of 4:09:55.2, they ran to 67th place despite the high temperatures of 33°C.
