New project images of the "Horizon Cruise Terminal" in Southampton, UK. We at HESS TIMBER are very proud to announce that we have been entrusted to deliver the curved glulam roof structure for the new cruise terminal, which is set to open in 2021. The impressive roof structure consists of 222 partially curved glulam beams which measure up to 37 m in length, 160 mm in width, and 1,400 mm in height.

INSPIRED BY TRADITION

The architectural inspiration for the structurally free-formed foyer was the spiritual traditions of two Aboriginal tribes. This prestige project of a distinctive glulam construction has already won several national and international awards.

Museum Fondation Louis Vuitton

Timber architecture in highest perfection

The museum of the Fondation Louis Vuitton was opened in October 2014. The famous architect Frank Gehry designed the building, that essentially consists of 12 “canvas” made of glass, steal and timber. HESS TIMBER delivered the timber construction for this unique building.

International House Sydney

In 2016, the country's first commercial wooden multistorey office building was built in Sydney in the district of Barangaroo South. This project marks not only a milestone in the history of HESS TIMBER but also in the Australian construction industry. The foundation for a trend-setting and novel way of building in the urban context was created.
