Anzac Station - Timber Canopy

A new timber roof canopy has been installed in Melbourne, Australia. The impressive torus shaped roof consists of curved glulam beams in a diagrid pattern supported on structural steel v-prop columns. The roof structure is over 80 m long and will cover the entrance to a new underground train station. Construction consists of curved glulam beams, some over 20 m long, which have been transported to site in one piece via our long beam special transport. HESS TIMBER has supplied over 350 m³ of curved and straight glulam sections, along with the CLT roofing panels and the structural connection systems for installation. We are pleased to have been able to work with CYP Design and Construction on this project.
