Pfeiffer & May, a leading wholesaler in the sanitary and heating technology sector based in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, has built a new central warehouse at the Karlsruhe headquarters. HESS TIMBER, a member of HASSLACHER group, was entrusted with the planning of the timber construction including structural engineering and design as well as for the production, delivery, and assembly of the glulam elements. The building, which covers an area of around 8,000 m², is now roofed by a glulam spruce construction with maximum lengths of up to 22 m. The structural timber components rest on reinforced concrete columns. After delivery to the construction site, the glulam was assembled within two weeks.
