First industrial project in Australia made from mass timber

Goodman is developing its first mass timber warehouse at Chifley Business Park, located at Moorabbin Airport in south-east Melbourne. 
  
HESS TIMBER is supplying H.Troon with approximately 1,450m³ of glulam and cross laminated timber products for this new warehouse development. 
  
Constructed predominantly from mass timber with sustainability, in mind, the warehouse will achieve approximately a 24% reduction in embodied carbon footprint compared to similar steel developments. 
  
The architecturally designed facility, targeting a 5 Star Green Star Buildings rating, will offer prime exposure on Boundary Road, where approximately 44,000 cars pass each day.

• Four units ranging from 3,500-4,300 sqm, with the ability to combine units to create larger space 
• 99kW solar per unit
