Located 14 kilometers west of Kutaisi, Kutaisi International Airport is the second largest airport in Georgia and serves both national and international air traffic. The internationally renowned architecture firm United Network Studio (UNStudio) provided the design for this. Since wood was used as a natural resource, HESS TIMBER's timber construction expertise was in demand. The roof construction with binder lengths of almost 20 meters was carried out with the patented solution HESS LIMITLESS. The total volume of glulam timber is just under 300 m³. The individual components were prefabricated in advance in Kleinheubach and jointed after delivery on site.
