In Würzburg a parking deck with around 60 parking spaces for motor vehicles and additional parking spaces for motorcycles was realized for the Arbeiterwohlfahrt-Bezirksverband Unterfranken e.V. (AWO). The facade consists of around 950 individual glued laminated timber elements with lengths of up to 4.50 m. Due to the increased weather-related exposure (service class 3), the exceptionally durable and resistant wood species larch was ultimately the material of choice. HESS TIMBER was commissioned with the planning, production, delivery, and assembly of the wooden facade.
