Modular Factory Erlenbach

Hemmelrath Technologies is a process innovator in the field of paste production in paint and lacquer manufacturing based in Erlenbach am Main (Germany). The new building of the "modular factory" consists of an office building, a warehouse and a production hall. The construction and material concept consistently aims for a resource-saving and sustainable construction method. The load-bearing structures and wall formations of the halls were realised as timber constructions. Cross-laminated timber elements were used for the walls and ceilings of the office building. For the warehouse, glulam was used for the roof structure and also for the walls. The production hall is also a pure timber construction, whereby glulam was also used for the supporting structure and cross laminated timber for the walls and the roof. A total of 180 m³ of glulam and 4,200 m² of cross laminated timber made of spruce were used for all three parts of the building. For this project, HESS TIMBER was entrusted with the tasks of structural planning, execution and detailed planning, works and assembly planning as well as project management and assembly of the entire timber construction.
