TIMBER LIMITLESS
Toskana Therme
In January 2008, the PPP tender for the construction of a new thermal bath on the site of the former Leopold Koch bath in Bad Orb took place. The location for the new thermal bath between Gradierwerk, Kurhotel and the connection to the directly adjacent spa park was the logical further development of the city's structures. The free-formed roof construction consists of 700 individual components. The double curved glulam edges (240 x 800 mm) are made up of 25 sections - each of these elements is unique. The complete work is supplemented by 682 elements of different geometry: triangular, pentagonal and partly with round cuts in the margins and skylights. All acoustic parts were completely prefabricated and insulated in the factory in Kleinheubach.
